In light of the upcoming release of Skyward Sword, and ofcourse, because a new exclusive wallpaper was waaayyy overdue, I thought it was time for a new wallpaper. This one’s been sitting in its PSD for quite a while (like many others*), unfinished. Today I managed to add what I felt was missing and uploaded it for you guys to download. Another 6+ months flew by without a new wallpaper… It was about time I made a new one :) With all the news, videos, screenshots and impressions of Ocarina of Time 3DS, I thought it’d be fitting to make an OoT wallpaper! Luckily adult Link was requested, so here it is :)
Took some doing to increase the quality of the image of Link, as it’s old and pretty grainy. So besides the standard procedure, I fixed the shading, desaturated the colors and smoothed out the lines a bit just to make it a little less “cartoony”. I’m quite happy with the result, I must say! I hope you do too, enjoy!
Can someone say FINALLY? Oy, after 6 months(!) I made a new wallpaper for you guys. And this isn’t some wallpaper – it’s a Skyward Sword wallpaper!! Ofcourse I saw Nintendo’s conference live yesterday as I do every year, and as it started off with a demonstration of the newest Legend of Zelda I just couldn’t wait to make a wallpaper for it. And here it is!
What I think of Skyward Sword? Well, for starters I have trouble remembering the name… But generally I think it looks pretty cool. I kinda like the “painted” look, it’s like a mixture of Twilight Princess and The Wind Waker :) What I didn’t like? The amount of movement that’s necessary to control Link seems like you have to stand up in order to play… I don’t know about you, but I prefer to kick back on the couch while playing Zelda, and not stand up. Especially since Zelda isn’t much of a pick-up-and-play type of game, so I figure standing up all the time can become quite tiresome. But I’ll wait and see how it works out :) I’m still excited for it!
I just noticed the last official wallpaper I uploaded was *gasp* 1,5 years ago!! So, in light of todays European release of the latest addition to the Zelda series, Spirit Tracks, I scoured the internet for hi-res artwork (and obviously found some) and made a semi-official wallpaper out of it.
Just thought it’d be nice since there aren’t any real officials available yet. I don’t know about you, but I like to put wallpapers on my desktop of new games I’m playing and ofcourse I’m playing Spirit Tracks right now (and I love it!). Hope you like it!
No updates in over a month! As you may have read on Twitter, I’ve been terribly busy to finish my schoolyear which means too much work to do in too little time. So that’s why I haven’t updated and responded to e-mails, I’m sorry :( Anyway, to make it up I uploaded 2 new wallpapers made by none other than DaKing9 and thomash31 from Want Midna Back!
