Marathon update

On July 7 at 12:00 AM (DST) / 6:00 PM (UTC) we will go live with the TwilightRealm Zelda Marathon 2012! For 72 hours straight you can watch us play Zelda until it ends on July 10. We will be playing to raise money for Child’s Play Charity, helping out to achieve their goal to make the lives of sick children all over the world a little better during their stay at a hospital.

Ofcourse we cannot do this without help, so here’s how you can chip in:

  • Tell your friends, family, anyone willing to hear about it. Share it on Twitter and Facebook, reddit, post it on message boards, etc. We can use as much exposure as possible! :)
  • Do you happen to be the owner of a gaming related website and would like to plug the event? Awesome! Get in touch for more information about our marathon.
  • We’ve already got some awesome stuff to give away, but we could always use extra sponsors. So do you sell videogame/Nintendo merchandise online and are you willing to sponsor giveaways or do you know anyone we could get in touch with? Please let us know by contacting us!

The Zelda Project

Hi guys! I know, I know, long time no update… Again. As usual, busy busy busy. But I just had to post this, because I feel this project needs more exposure as it’s so awesome. I came across this project, named The Zelda Project by *Adella on deviantART (an excellent and stunning cosplayer herself!) and I think it’s simply amazing.

The Zelda Project is a Los Angeles, CA based group of friends who seek to bring to life the characters, settings, and overall feel of Ocarina of Time through photography and film. Our ultimate goal is to create the characters as they would appear in reality to the best of our abilities, placing them in beautiful sceneries true to their Hyrulean counterparts, and creating elaborate photosets, as well as a film short (coming once the cosplay segment of the project is completed!).

Now, I’m no big fan of cosplay because I feel that if you’re gonna dress up as a character, you gotta put some effort into the whole package and not just the outfit. Not many cosplayers pull that off sadly… A good cosplay in my opinion, is one where the person cosplaying looks very close to the original character. And this project downright nailed it. Take a look:
